About Mace and Sputnik
The streets of Haven City are filled with crime and villainy. The scourge that plagues Haven City knows only two boundaries; they’re called Mace and Sputnik. The two heroes are Mason and Nicky Wells.
They are the children of genius scientists, Mathew and Annie Wells. Ten years earlier the Wells parents were the greatest American minds of their time. They were the founders and architects of Olympia City. Olympia City is a luxury corporate state for VIPs that hovers in the clouds above Haven City. In partnership with Olymp-tek, the Wells parents were about to have world renown with their greatest discovery. Tragically their lives were taken in an explosion in their flying zeppelin home. All that survived the accident was Nicky’s toy Roba-sphere. Damaged but intact, Nicky kept the toy to always remember her parents.
Old enough to take guardianship, Mason at the age of 24 and Nicky 13, move back to Haven city to their family owned Salvage yard. When moving in, a unwelcomed biker gang hassles the brother and sister. By accident or fate the Roba-sphere is reactivated and gives the two heroes power suits to fend off the danger. Nicky the child prodigy discovers that the Roba-sphere has been converted into an artificial intelligence able to solve infinite problems and materialize solutions. This is their parent’s legacy that may have led to their death. The Roba-sphere is unstable and unpredictable do to its damage from years earlier. This makes it a liability to anyone who possesses it. Mason and Nicky decide to take on the burden of its safe keeping, while using their power to clean up the streets as their alter-egos: Mace and Sputnik.
The CEO of Olymp-tek, Thomas Burrows catches wind of this powerful duo and their amazing power. Burrows appoints his criminal liaison, Mr. Rysden, to investigate the heroes and the threat they pose to Olymp-tek’s sinister initiative for power. The two heroes fight mafia, gangs, and cult following radicals, but their greatest challenge is keeping their sanity living a double life. On top of the regular pressures of a crime-fighter, Nicky has puberty and French class to compete with. Mason’s love for his sister keeps him from pursuing his dream baseball career. Mason barely provides for himself and Nicky as a mechanic at their salvage yard homestead. If life is not hard enough being a regular Joe, it just got tougher being a superhero.
Haven City Haven City is the American home of the blue-collar worker. Haven City is where a regular Joe can make an honest living to provide for his family. The main economy thrives off family-owned business and factory work. This is the kind of city where the neighborhood grocer knows his clients by name. The cooks at the diner know how to prepare your favorite burger. No corporation has ever laid their business on this once wholesome city. After many years, the crime and horror have rotted the dark corners of Haven City. The paradise has become a prison for the innocent good folk who dwell there. While law enforcement is the thriving occupation in this city, no mass of police force has ever been able to keep a lid on the injustice that pours into the streets of Haven City.
Lou's Diner Lou’s Diner is your Italian Americana cuisine. Fresh marinara fills the air as soon as you walk in. It is the local greasy spoon where your family and factory working stiffs come to put their worries away with a milkshake and a juicy burger. All are welcome at Lou's place, He only asks that you leave four pounds heavier. Built from an old subway car, The diner has been in Lou's family for generations, but even older is the Viddi recipe for his signature marinara that like no other.
Olympia City Olympia City is the ultimate community for America’s brightest and richest individuals. The residents range from diplomats, politicians, Nobel Prize winners, and Fortune 500 executives. A joint creation of the Wells ingenuity and Olymp-tek technologies, Olympia City is the first and only fully automated and self-sufficient city. Hovering in the clouds above Haven City, any citizen privileged to live within the safety and luxury of Olympia City can expect never to lift a finger or be bothered by the civil duties of the average American city. Olympia City is a corporate owned state that has a growing interest with the government’s plans for economical expansion. Olympia City appears to be the sanctuary in the sky, but even the skies can’t escape the darkness of a storm.
